Emmerdale Mackenzie Boyd is played by Lawrence Robb, and away from the Dales he has a seemingly sweet and loved up life with his famous girlfriend.
As the soap’s spoilers reveal that things are set to take an unexpected turn for Charity Dingle and Mackenzie ahead of their highly anticipated wedding, Daily Star delves into Lawrence’s romance away from the soap.
Upcoming scenes from the ITV1 soap opera will see Charity surprise Mack with a ride in an A-Team styled van but when PC Swirling spots them in the vehicle, the pair end up spending a night in jail.

But the actor’s love life is completely different from his on-screen character’s with Lawrence supposedly loved up with Glaswegian actress Joanne Thomson.
Just like her boyfriend, Joanne has an esteemed string of TV and film credits, with her being quite the established actor.
Joanne’s website states that she is an actor, writer and director from Glasgow, and that she has a BA in Acting from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and has also trained with the Groundlings Improv School in Los Angeles.
In 2022 it was announced that Joanne had been cast as new recurring character Amy McCallum in the sixth series of Outlander, with her character in the series finding out how to survive as a widower after losing her husband.
The brunette beauty has also recently played the role of DS Lisa Harvey in BBC One drama The Victim, with additional acting credits of hers being in The Suffragettes and In Plain Sight.
Both Lawrence and Joanne have shared snaps of each other on Instagram, including PDA-packed ones of them snuggling up on the beach or on various trips around the world.
Snaps saved to Joanne’s Instagram story highlights from their trip to Sri Lanka, show the pair soaking up the sights while on a safari and looking out at elephants before enjoying a drink from a coconut.
Other photos saved to various highlights on Joanne’s Instagram page show the couple in lockdown during the 2020 coronavirus pandemic.
A couple of years ago the couple dressed up in 80s-themed attire for the Secret Cinema Stranger Things event where they could be seen kissing in a sweet snap.
And more recently, Joanne shared a snap of her taking her dogs to the Emmerdale village set to presumably visit Lawrence.
