Emmerdale’s Caleb Miligan officially showed up in the ITV Dales on Christmas Day – but eagle-eyed fans are sure they’ve spotted him somewhere before.
Caleb, half-brother to Cain and Chas Dingle, was revealed to be Faith’s long-lost son and is now determined to help free Cain from prison while getting Kyle Winchester off a murder charge.
But some suspicious fans are wondering how he recognised Chas at all when he first turned up at the graveyard where she was setting Faith’s firework off.

Many have suggested Caleb was hanging around the village ‘spying’ on the Dingles for a while before his first appearance.
Taking to social media, one fan tweeted: “Chas not only missed being with her mum when she died because she was too busy in a hotel with Al.
“She was too busy gazing at Caleb [when the firework went off]. How did Caleb know what she looks like?”
Someone else posted to Facebook: “I don’t think Caleb is as nice as he makes out, he has an agenda but not sure what.”
One social media user followed up: “I think you are 100% correct… think he has been spying on them for a while, it’s creepy.”
“I think Caleb was the one watching Chas and Al at the bridge that time, there’s more to him. Why would he tell Kyle he’s the uncle when he was told not to? Sly,” another said.
While someone else penned: “I said the same thing… think he has been skulking around in the background for a while. Don’t trust him at all.”
It comes after fans spotted a worrying sign when Caleb got his wallet out while trying to convince Moira to accept his help – as they noticed the wallet was empty of both cash and bank cards.
Taking to Twitter to share their findings, one eagle-eyed fan posted: “Caleb’s wallet was definitely on the empty side!”

Another echoed: “Did anyone else see Caleb’s wallet looking a bit worse for wear? Maybe he’s broke and wants to swindle the village out of some cash… #Emmerdale’s turning into Corrie!”
Even Caleb star Will Ash has teased that there is “something else going on” with his character.
He told Daily Star: “Initially, when he comes in, even though he’s got an axe to grind with him, he wants to connect with his family.
“He’s very, very kind of charming and open and wanting to just make a connection with his family because they’re going through quite a lot.
“He comes in and kind of really helps them deal with all that they’re dealing with. But you can’t help but think there is something else going on.”
