Emmerdale’s Gennie Walker star unrecognisable 10 years after tragic soap exit

Former Emmerdale actress Sian Reese-Williams has left her fans in awe as she showed off her jaw-dropping looks on social media.

Best known for playing the role of Gennie Walker in the ITV show, Sian now looks completely different ten years after her dramatic soap exit.

Remembered best for her blunt bob hairdo with an edgy fringe, Sian, 41, looks unrecognisable now as she sports her long brunette locks away from her face.

Captioning her post, which was shared earlier this month, she wrote: “This is Jane Seabrook (the greatest country rockstar name that never was). Jane is the lyricist of Heartbreak Radio (the greatest country rock band that never was).

“So… Jane wrote the lyrics to You Got It, Pretty Woman, Handle With Care and many more…JANE IS AN ACTUAL GENIUS.”

Seeing her gorgeous display, fans headed straight to the comment section to compliment her looks.

One follower wrote: “Oh Sian!!!!!! How brilliant is this!! You look absolutely fantastic, those boots are just beyond.”

Sian’s first appearance as Gennie was in 2008 when she was injured by a car that was being driven by Ross Kirk.

Gennie was on her way to the village to meet her biological father Shadrach Dingle for the first time.

In 2013, Gennie met her fate when she tried to rush off in a hurry in her car and had a serious accident, not long after passing her driving test.

Although her exit was a sad one, Sian later expressed that she thought it was the right decision to leave.

She said: “When I decided to leave, it was suggested that Gennie would be killed off – and Emmerdale gave me the option to change my mind and stay.

“I still decided that I wanted to move on, as it just felt right. But there were times during that first lockdown where I was like, ‘God, why did I have to leave Emmerdale?’ [ laughs ]

That said I love the variety of the job, and it’s certainly been the best thing for me – so I’m grateful to Emmerdale that they threw me down a hill and suffocated me!”
