As the saying goes, everything’s bigger in America. And while over in the UK, I’m A Celeb has set the benchmark for stomach-churning challenges, one reality show stateside took things to a whole other level.
While grim eating and drinking challenges are pretty commonplace now, US hit Fear Factor once got their contestants to take on a task so hideous, the episode never even aired.
The task in question involved twins Brynne and Claire Odioso, who starred on the 2011 version of the long-running show, hosted by Joe Rogan.

The pair were bidding to win $50,000 (£44,000) – but standing in their way were cups of donkey urine and semen.
They had to start over if they were sick and, perhaps unsurprisingly, the feat proved so disgusting, it left not only the contestants, but also the camera crew chucking up.
The show first aired in 2001 with Rogan at the helm and ran for six seasons before it was cancelled in 2006.
However, the show had a comeback on NBC in 2011 for a nine-episode run, which featured the disturbing donkey challenge.
The episode titled “Heehaw! Heehaw” was pulled off the show’s schedule after the episode leaked, but was later uploaded to YouTube for the hardiest people to view.
In the segment, the contestants are tasked with draining both glasses of urine and semen to qualify for the next round.
Claire Odioso revealed in a radio interview it was the hardest “15 minutes” of her life and that they were made to start over if they threw up.
She added claimed that the liquids “smelt like hay”.
Fox News reports that one twin said: “If you vomited you would have to start over. I ended up just vomiting in my glass and drank that. The cameramen were vomiting.
“It smells. It’s so bitter, and it has a little hint of hay.”
Despite it being disgusting, Brynne Odioso is reported to have been “disappointed” that the episode didn’t air.
Asked if they would do it again the brunette twins told TMZ: “Probably, we are proud of what we did.”
The show was cancelled but it made a third comeback in 2017, hosted by rapper Ludacris on MTV.
