Twenty years ago, making it into FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women in the World was a big deal.
It put women whose names and careers were built on their glamorous image on the pages of the prestigious glossy men’s magazine.
Every year, thanks to members of the public who voted in their droves, the No.1 lads’ mag, published its poll in a list that would often make headlines.

To be included was an accolade and boosted the fame and fortune of the actresses, models and TV stars who made the grade.
Sadly, FHM stopped publishing in 2016 with the last ever poll taking place in 2017.
But we at the Daily Star thought we’d check back on some of the beauties from yesteryear to see who was in the top 10 in 2003, and find where are they now…
10. Jolene Blalock
American actress and model Jolene Blacklock made Vulcans sexy when she played first officer and science officer T’Pol on the UPN hit science-fiction series Star Trek: Enterprise.
At the time of her appearance in the top 100 list she had been appearing on the cover of many men’s lifestyle magazines, and was twice featured in Maxim’s “Girls of Maxim” gallery.
Since her role ended she has only made a handful of a guest-star appearances on television series and in films, with her lost role in 2017.
Blalock married Michael Rapino, CEO of Live Nation, and the couple founded the Rapino Foundation, which helps populations in the developing world.
However, her front covers didn’t end when she stopped appearing on the screen, as a dog fancier Blalock has appeared on the cover of the UK’s K9 Magazine.
9. Kylie Minogue
Pint-sized singer and actress Kylie Minogue shot to fame in Aussie soap Neighbours and then enjoyed a hugely successful pop career, which has seen her become the highest-selling female Australian artist of all time .
But she endured an ordeal in 2005 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer while on a world tour, which she had to abandon while she underwent treatment.
She went on to beat cancer and now campaigns and fund-raises for various cancer charities.
Now aged 54, she continues to make albums and go on tour.
Despite having many high-profile love affairs, including with the late INXS singer Michael Hutchence, she has never married and is currently in a relationship with British GQ creative director Paul Solomons since 2018, and is now living in her native Australia.
8. Anna Kournikova
Tennis player Anna Kournikova was just 21 when she topped the FHM poll back in 2002.
The 5ft 8ins stunning blonde from Russia never managed to win a singles title in the tennis world, but she still became one of the sport’s best known players.
Away from the court she was making millions through sponsorship deals and media appearances, largely because of her model looks and celebrity status.
She retired from tennis in 2003 after persistent back problems and now lives in Miami, Florida.
As well as playing the occasional promotional tennis match, she does TV work, including as a trainer for The Biggest Loser and also charity appearances.
Now 41, she has been dating pop singer Enrique Iglesias for over 20 years and the couple have three children
7. Jennifer Love Hewitt
Despite beginning her career as a child actress, Jennifer Love Hewitt’s breakout role was undoubtedly her starring turn on hugely popular nineties TV series Party of Five.
Her roles in 90s teen movies I Know What You Did Last Summer, and its sequel the following year carried on into the noughties with appearances alongside Sigourney Weaver in Heartbreakers, and Jackie Chan in the Tuxedo.
She won two Saturn Awards for playing Melinda Gordon in CBS supernatural drama Ghost Whisperer, then starred in drama TV series The Client List.
In 2015, Jennifer decided to step away from the limelight after the birth of her son Atticus.
The Criminal Minds star told Working Mother that her friends and co-stars didn’t understand her desire to take a break.
Speaking to the publication, she said: “They were like ‘you’re in the middle of a career, you can’t do that’.
“But I was like, ‘I can because that’s what’s in my heart.'”
6. Jennifer Lopez
By 2003 J-Lo had already topped the list twice, and with 235 million Instagram followers it’s safe to say she hasn’t fallen off the radar in the past 20 years.
Jennifer Lopez was already an established actress, singer and dancer when she won the FHM accolade aged 33, but afterwards her career went from strength to strength.
Alongside her singing and acting roles, she was also a judge on American Idol which also secured her lucrative deals with several companies promoting their products, as well as Las Vegas residencies.
All of her work and success earned her a place in Time’s 100 most influential people in the world list in 2018.
Now aged 53, she’s been married three times and has two children.
In July 2022 she married Hollywood actor Ben Affleck, who she was in a serious relationship several years earlier.
However, despite the loved up social media posts of the pair, including matching tattoos, Affleck was recently seen looking miserable after Lopez allegedly “snapped” at the actor for not looking “friendly” enough at the Grammy Awards.
5. Carmen Electra
American actress, model, singer and media personality Carmen Electra shot to fame through her successful glamour modelling appearances – including frequent appearances in Playboy.
Her Playboy work secured her a role as a sexy lifeguard in cult TV show Baywatch and she also appeared in a number of Hollywood films, including the Scary Movie franchise, Meet the Spartans and Epic Movie.
She went on to be a guest judges on the US So You Think You Can Dance , as well as Britain’s Got Talent.
In 2022 she joined the OnlyFans forum, saying it gave her “the opportunity to be my own boss”.
She has been married twice – including a short-lived Las Vegas wedding to the ‘bad boy’ of basketball Denis Rodman
Rodman filed for an anullment nine days after they got hitched in Las Vegas, claiming he was of “unsound mind” at the time.
Carmen’s relationship with the NBA star was brought back into the media glare when she featured on hugely popular Netflix series The Last Dance, which documented the unstoppable late 1990s Chicago Bulls basketball team’s journey.
4. Rachel Stevens
Former S Club Seven singer Rachel Stevens, 44, had already been voted the second sexiest woman in the world in 2002 when she was just 24.
She left the group in 2003 and went on to have a successful solo career for a few years after that, signing a £1.5million four-album deal with Polydor Records.
Rachel was engaged to former Hollyoaks actor Jeremy Edwards, but they split up in 2004. She then briefly dated Gavin Dein, the son of ex-Arsenal vice chairman David Dein.
Work wise, she later turned to reality TV, coming fourth in Strictly Come Dancing in 2008, appearing on Celebrity Masterchef and also taking part in Dancing on Ice in 2022.
In her personal life, she married Alex Bourne in 2009 and the couple have two daughters, but the pair announced their separation in July 2022 on Instagram.
She’s since spoken about how hard the separation had been.
3. Britney Spears
It’s been an eventful 20 years for Baby One More Time and I’m a Slave 4 U hit-maker Britney Spears, 41, who has rarely been out of the headlines.
She was a regular feature in the FHM 100 list, and would go on to top the list in 2004, which may have been boosted by her joining Madonna and Christina Aguilera on stage, and having that kiss with the former.
Britney and Madonna had a snog during a performance at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Madge then did the same with Aguilera.
She then shaved her head in a public meltdown in 2007.
However, following highly-publicised problems with mental health and addiction, in 2008 Britney was placed under the conservatorship of her father Jamie Spears and lawyers, who took complete control of her life and all her assets.
Despite the restrictions, Britney continued to make music and perform in highly successful tours and concerts.
In 2021 Britney fought to be free of the conservatorship and is now planning a tell-all book, as well as new record deals and concerts.
The mum of two boys married her third husband, Sam Asghari, last year and regularly posts on Instagram to her millions of followers.
2. Holly Valance
This year was Holly Valance’s second appearance in the poll’s top 10, having reached 8th spot last year.
By 2003 the now 39-year-old ex-Neighbours star had moved onto a successful pop music career, notching a hit single with the catchy Kiss Kiss.
She then went on to have further chart success with Down Boy and Naughty Girl.
By 2002, she had also worked as a model and had roles in a couple of Hollywood movies and TV series including CSI: Miami and Entourage.
Holly moved to the UK in 2009, and in 2012 she married Sunday Times Rich List multi-millionaire property developer Nick Candy, a billionaire who spared no expense in the wedding celebrations.
According to I Diva, Katy Perry played a 45-minute set for the happy couple for $1.9 million, and the entire wedding reportedly cost $4.2 million and even featured Simon Cowell and Elton John.
1. Halle Berry
At 36 years old, Halle Berry was the oldest woman ever to top the list.
The Hollywood beauty shot to fame first as a model, before changing career and later landing herself a role in movie Boomerang, starring alongside Eddie Murphy.
She played a number of sexy roles over the years but most memorable was probably her character Giacinta (Jinx) Johnson in the James Bond franchise Die Another Day in 2002.
In the same year the former beauty queen won the Academy Award for Best Actress in 2002 for her performance in Monster’s Ball the year
Nearly 20-years on from her Bond days, and 56-years-old, Halle is still slaying it in bikini’s and racy lingerie to this day, and regularly wowing her eight million Instagram followers with her ageless snaps.
