Gordon Ramsay is charging £1,000 for the “ultimate” Mother’s Day meal – and the price doesn’t include booze.
The potty-mouthed cook, 56 – worth an estimated £182million – is charging the small fortune for a gourmet lunch or dinner this March 19 at his flagship eatery, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, in Chelsea, south-west London.
It’s thought a 15% service charge will be slapped on top of the bill, taking the price to £1,150. The £1,000 covers four people tucking into the “Inspiration Table” experience.

Diners get a private area with a “bespoke menu” based on their preferences, so the dishes offered for the 3 Michelin starred restaurant’s gourmet experience aren’t available.
But menus available on the restaurant’s website show dishes including roast veal sweetbread, Dover sole, roast pigeon, 100-day aged Cumbrian Blue Grey steak – with white asparagus and grilled brassicas for vegetarians.
The wine list at the eaterie, which has been rated the third most expensive in the world, is only available by contacting its sommelier.
But online reviews have said there “isn’t much” there for £30 a bottle, with prices ranging anywhere from £55 to thousands of pounds.
The Inspiration Table experience is one of 81 gifts suggested for Mother’s Day on Gordon’s site.
An ad for the date urges people to “spoil” their mum this year, with a link taking them through to the range of eye wateringly expensive gift packages on offer.
They also include a £310 lunch, a £620 Savoy Grill “Chef’s Table Experience” and a “Butcher’s Block Experience” at Gordon’s bar and grill for £690.
Things don’t get much cheaper at his restaurants outside London, with the chef’s table experience at the cook’s Bread Street Kitchen & Bar in Liverpool costing £540.
Gordon was hammered in January by punters for charging £8 for chips at his Savoy Grill.
And this month he charged £300 for a Valentine’s Day meal for two at his Petrus restaurant in London – where water is £6 and a 125ml glass of the red wine the place is named after can cost £1,150, while a bottle of the 1982 Petrus vintage is £13,500.
