This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby had a rather difficult time at this year’s National Television Awards as she “couldn’t pee” while wearing her tightly fitted gown.
Sharing her awkward moment on Wednesday’s ITV show (September 6), Holly told her co-host Craig Doyle that the gorgeous lilac dress that she wore to the NTAs on Tuesday (September 6) didn’t work in her favour.
Due to the tightness of her frock, the 42-year-old admitted that she didn’t go to the toilet during the ceremony, which lasted approximately six hours.

Telling Craig that she stayed away from the alcohol, Holly also confessed that her figure-hugging dress couldn’t be pulled up or down in case anything “fell out” at the top.

She explained: “I couldn’t pull it up to go for a pee and I was also tied in so nothing fell out at the top, so I also couldn’t pull it down.
“So I had to go to the hotel, so that was it! That was it until I knew I was getting home from the O2.”
Surprised, Craig said: “That’s like five or six hours!”
Holly continued: “So I was like nil by mouth, I had like half a glass of prosecco.”
Chiming in again, Craig joked that Holly wouldn’t be able to go “ten minutes” without using a loo if she was in her 50s.
Things were evidently mellow during Wednesday’s show following This Morning’s major loss at the NTAs.
Since 2011, This Morning has picked up an award in the daytime, live magazine or topical magazine category every year.
However, they were beaten by BBC’s The Repair Shop who scooped the award for Best Daytime Show.

Seeing that things were less cheerful in the This Morning studio, fans headed over to Twitter to share their thoughts.
One viewer wrote: “‘Congratulations to The Repair Shop’ says Holly through gritted teeth and a tear rolling down her cheek #ThisMorning.”
Another fumed: “Holly thanking the viewers for their love and support …….. Holly you lost, there’s not much love and support anymore!”
While a third simply asked: “No hangover this year for Holly 1st time in 14 yrs #ThisMorning did NOT win an NTA. Wonder why???”
