Holly Willoughby ‘knew’ about Philip Schofield affair, claims James Haskell

This Morning’s Holly Willoughby “knew” about Phillip Schofield’s affair, according to James Haskell.

Holly allegedly knew about Phil’s with a romance younger male colleague and has now returned to the This Morning sofa.

The host said she was “hurt” that Phil had “lied” to her about the affair and gave off the impression she was unaware.

The ex-rugby star who is the son-in-law of former This Morning presenters Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan, claimed everyone knew.

Speaking on the Jeremy Vine Show, James spoke about the This Morning scandal and said: “Utter nonsense. She [Holly] asked: ‘Are you ok?’ A bloke off the TV cheated on his wife, I think I’ll survive, I think I’ll live. This is 2023 in a nutshell.

“I knew about this years ago, of course, she [Holly] knows. Everybody knows.”

Myleene Klass was also on the show and added: “I think it’s a case of the conversations that happen on that sofa, these are people who are trusted and welcomed into our house.”

This comes after Holly returned to her regular This Morning presenting role alongside Josie Gibson and delivered a statement on the scandal.

“You, me, and all of us at This Morning gave our love and support to someone who was not telling the truth, who acted in a way that they themselves felt that they had to resign from ITV and step down from a career that they loved. That is a lot to process.

“That is a lot to process, and it’s equally hard to see the toll that it’s taken on their own mental health.

“I think what unites us all now is a desire to heal, for the health and wellbeing of everyone.

“I hope that we start this new chapter and get back to a place of warmth and magic that this show holds for all of us, we can find strength in each other.”

Last week, Holly posted an Instagram story last week addressing Phil’s antics.

She wrote: “It’s taken time to process yesterday’s news. When reports of this relationship first surfaced, I asked Phil directly if this was true and was told it was not.

“It’s been very hurtful to now find out that this was a lie.”
