Hollyoaks Eric star Angus Castle-Doughty's very different role away from Channel 4 soap

Hollyoaks actor Angus Castle-Doughty will return to our screens soon as Eric Foster finds out his fate.

The Incel taunted the village with his radicalised misogynistic views leading to a siege earlier this year where he held hostages inside The Dog and shot Diane Hutchinson (Alex Fletcher) with a crossbow.

Eric’s brother Tony (Nick Pickard) is still haunted by all that has happened with Eric this week and his helpless wife Diane struggles to convince him to seek help.

After weeks in prison, Eric finally finds out his fate in upcoming scenes as the day of his sentencing arrives.

Maxine Minniver (Nikki Sanderson) joins Tony and Diane as they await news.

Tony later receives an unexpected call from his estranged brother Eric asking him to go and visit him in prison.

A concerned Diane thinks it’s time her husband seeks professional help from the trauma left behind from Eric.

After seeking advice from Honour Chen-Williams (Vera Chok), Diane takes things into her own hands and takes Tony to confront his fears and visit Eric.

Away from the village, actor Angus and writer partner Andy Burse has launched Two’s A Crowd, which follows two pretty hapless actors who end up making a mess of the most cringe of auditions.

Angus has dabbled in his fair share of comedic roles and the short film is no different.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk, the soap star explained: “”We came up with this idea of two people who became a double act against their will and from the moment they meet they despise each other.

“Andy and I met in the chemistry audition and we were both cast, but we didn’t know who they’d cast as the other character until we got out to Budapest where we were filming it.

“We clicked straight away and we ended up being quite inseparable for the duration of the shoot.”

Hollyoaks Spring trailer has confirmed that Eric will return to our screens soon as he receives a visit in prison from James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan) next week.

With James determined to put his sister Juliet Nightingale (Niamh Blackshw) first as she battles cancer, will he be tempted to sign a deal with the devil?

Hollyoaks airs weeknights on Channel 4 at 6.30pm followed by first-look episodes on E4 at 7pm
