Two huge soap stars are set to join Coronation Street this Summer in a steamy affair storyline that is set to rock the cobbles.
Hollyoaks Sinead O’Connor legend Stephanie Davis will arrive in Weatherfield as Courtney Vance, the glamorous wife of Darren, a business associate of Dev Alahan.
Her hubby will be played by The Archers’ icon Ryan Early, who stars as Helen Archer’s love interest Lee Bryce in the BBC radio drama.

However, events are set to heat up on the cobbles as Courtney begins an affair with Dev’s son Aadi Alahan – with the pair soon caught up in a web of lies as they continue their romance behind Dev and Darren’s backs.
The scenes are set to air on Coronation Street in July 2023, with both Stephanie and Ryan gushing about joining the ITV soap.
“I am absolutely delighted to be joining the cast of Coronation Street, playing the part of Courtney Vance,” said Stephanie.
“Growing up I have always watched and loved the show, so to be part of the biggest TV soap in Britain, which is in the hearts and homes of so many people, is an honour.”
Ryan added: “I am so thrilled to be playing Darren Vance on Coronation Street and joining the most iconic Soap. I grew up watching the show with my grandmother so to walk on the cobbles is such an honour.”
Stephanie’s stint on the cobbles is just one of a number of soap roles the star has played in the past, with a CV that includes Doctors and Holby City to name a few.
Meanwhile, Ryan has had a long career on TV series such as Knightfall, Grantchester, Almost Never, The Crown and Casualty.
Speaking about the two soap legends and the upcoming storyline, Coronation Street Producer Iain MacLeod said: “In Stephanie and Ryan, we have cast two fantastic actors as the catalyst for this fun, fiery storyline.
“Aadi will quickly find himself way out of his depth as he risks everything for Courtney. And while it is the best time he’s ever had in his life, he stands to end up in a whole heap of trouble!”
Steph shared the news on her Instagram as she declared she’s “delighted” to be joining the show as she wrote: “To be part of the biggest TV soap in Britain, which is in the hearts and homes of so many people, is an honour.”
