Hollywood star Catherine Zeta-Jones has proven she hasn’t forgotten her humble roots despite her fame.
The iconic actress who hails from the modest town of Mumbles in Swansea, Wales, has spent decades living the life of a superstar since finding fame as a teenager in ITV drama The Darling Buds Of May.
However, her status as a household name didn’t stop her from riding the London underground on Tuesday – just days after she presented the Best Film award at the BAFTA’s.

Catherine, 53, filmed herself on board the low-key form of transport as she travelled around the capital – and she was lucky enough to get the whole carriage to herself.
Wrapping up warm and attempting to pass under the radar Catherine hid her easily recpgnisable face with a large pair of dark sunglasses and wore a grey hat and scarf as she addressed her followers in the video clip.
She said: “When you’re the only one on the tube and you’re very happy. London, just me, on public transport.”
She then captioned the post: “Tube Time! London Transport!
Catherine – who is married to fellow A-list star and acting royalty Michael Douglas – has a reported net worth of approximately $150million.
At the peak of her career she earned an eye-watering $ 3 million for her role in hit movie Traffic and in 2000 earned $ 1 million for her appearance in musical Chicago two years later.
Lucrative advertising deals including a reported $10million T-Mobile endorsement and her latest role in Netflix series Wednesday have all added to her wealth.
Catherine and Michael have also made the most of their finances by investing in their properties.
Michael, 78, has previously spoken about how they would re-arrange their schedules to deal with raising their children at the same time as taking on acting roles.
The couple got married back in 2000 and have two children Carys, 18, and Dylan, 20. Michael also has a son, Cameron, 44, from his earlier marriage to Diandra Luker.
Speaking on Lorraine he said: “I think we both do our own things. We try and do it at different times so when the kids were younger, so we could be there. But no competition, Catherine’s going to do another year of Wednesday and a lot of other projects right now.
“Truth be told, my kids couldn’t see the films I’ve made. It’s another generation of fans, it’s as close as you get to immortality, a bunch of kids now know who you were before, that part is fun.”
