Married since 2000 to a famous makeup artist and happily settled with two children, there’s a lot that isn’t known about this distinguished gent.

Snubbed by Titanic

Christian auditioned for the role of Jack in Titanic

Although we know Leonardo DiCaprio as Jack Dawson in the 1997 box office smash-hit Titanic, it might not have been Leonardo at the helm of the role if Christian got it instead.

The Hollywood Reporter sat down with Christian and Scott Cooper, with the former getting asked: “Didn’t you audition for that?”

Replying to Scott, Christian said: “I wasn’t going to go into that, but yes…

Leonardo Dicaprio played Jack Dawson in Titanic

“I am really bad at auditions. I’m terrible. I’ve never been good at them.”

He then added: “I can’t do ‘em. They’re nothing like working. They’re not related in the slightest.”

But despite being snubbed by Titanic, he actually credits Leonardo DiCaprio for helping his career.

Leonardo was reportedly supposed to star in American Psycho, but it was Christian who was cast as Patrick Bateman.

Hidden Disney role

Although one of his most famous roles saw him act in American Psycho, he has some hidden Disney roles too

Despite Christian having some pretty incredible leading roles in blockbuster movies, he actually has two forgotten Disney roles – that might just surprise you.

The English acting sensation played Jack “Cowboy” Kelly in the 1992 Disney film, Newsies.

Directed by Kenny Ortega, Newsies documented a group of newspaper sellers tired of the exploitation by their bosses.

Years later he also voiced Thomas in the 1995 Disney animated feature film, Pocahontas.

The character of Thomas was that of a supporting role, and an English man who joined Captain John Smith on expedition to Virginia.

Lashed out at director

In 2008, on the set of Terminator Salvation, Christian lashed out

In 2009 a video emerged where Christian could be seen ranting on the set of the then-new Terminator movie.

In unearthed audio, Christian could be heard saying: “I want you off the f**king set you prick!”

He also said: “Stay off the f**king set man. For f**ksake. Alright, let’s go again,” as well as multiple other pieces of dialogue.

Christian did however apologise when he branded his foul-mouthed rant as “inexcusable”, adding that he “acted like a punk”.

His apology came on air while appearing on the Los Angeles radio station KROQ.

The rant took place on the set of Terminator Salvation, when he clashed with director of photography Shane Hurlbut.

Shane walked into Christian’s eye-line, which left the actor riled up.

Speaking on the radio show, Christian said: “I was out of order beyond belief. I make no excuses for it.”

Married Winona Ryder’s makeup artist

Christian married his wife Sibi in 2000

Christian Bale and his stunning wife Sibi Blazic eloped in Las Vegas in January 2000, with the couple welcoming a child in 2005 and another in 2014.

With more than two decades of happy marriage under their belts, they are a silent power couple in the world of Hollywood.

Sibi is a Chicago-born beauty who was previously employed as Winona Ryder’s personal assistant.

The couple are said to have met through Winona, who starred alongside Christian in the 1994 adaptation of Little Women.

In 2009 he told People: “It’s all about my girls, my wife and my daughter. I carry a picture of them with me all the time.

And a year later while chatting to Esquire in 2010 he spoke of his “incredible pride” for his family.
