ITV I’m A Celebrity fans ‘rumble’ Fred Sirieix’s gameplan as he’s axed from show

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! fans were convinced Fred Sirieix had a cunning gameplan before he became the third star to leave the jungle.

During Tuesday’s show (December 5), the remaining eight celebs had to decide who would face the challenge, Fly On The Wall. Two celebrities were needed for this trial as all eight stars were up for grabs.

But as the campmates tried to decide who would take on the terrifying challenge, Fred, who was later evicted from the show, was quick to appoint himself. With campmate Marvin Humes already in the running to go, having asked from the day before, viewers at home found it odd that Fred quickly dismissed others from also having a go.

Throwing his hat in the ring, Sam Thompson also said he didn’t mind doing the challenge. But Fred was quick to shut him down and told him that the trial belonged to him.

Fans think Fred Siriex was trying to get more airtime by doing trials

Seeing Fred’s forceful reaction, fans at home seemed to think that Fred wanted to gain more screen time by putting himself forward for the trials, which are a key part of the show. Heading over to X formerly known as Twitter, viewers shared their thoughts.

One social media user said: “Fred is really coming across as a horrible person and they shouldn’t have let him do the trial. He’s trying to get the air time & stinks of desperation.”

Another clearly wanted the First Dates star gone as they fumed: “Fred using Nigel tactic …wanting that 25% airtime. Let’s hope it backfires and he’s next out #ImACelebrity #ImACeleb”.

A third penned: “This is how Fred is getting his air time, he’s not cooking so he’s making sure he’s getting the trails and moaning so they show him all the time.” While another added: “I liked Fred before he went into the jungle but he’s showing his true colours and wow… honestly, get him out.”

Some fans thought Fred shouldn’t of taken on the trial

Fred’s most recent conflict came when he clashed with Josie Gibson about her culinary skills. After evicted campmate Nella Rose decided to give Josie the role as chef, Fred wasn’t too happy and made it known to others in camp.

But when Sam became head chef, Fred appeared to have a more pleasant reaction. And in his exit interview, Fred revealed he would like the Made in Chelsea star to be crowned champ of the show.
