A former Take Me Out contestant has landed a job as a bodyguard for Spider-Man star Zendaya.
The actress and singer has been spotted recently with former Royal Marine Joel by her side for protection.
Joel accompanied the star on a recent shopping trip to London as well as travelling with her to Italy last month.

The hunk first came to prominence when he appeared in the 2019 series of the ITV dating show, where he went down well with the women – 24 of them 30 kept their lights on for him.

When he was on the show, Joel – who’s from Northamptonshire – described himself as a “real-life Action Man looking for an outdoorsy kind of girl, who does also like a cosy night”.
He added: “My shirt is always crisp; my meal is always served on time. I may have a tough job, but I’ll also make the perfect house husband.”

He didn’t win unanimous support from the ladies on the show, with three of them turning out their lights when he admitted that he treated doing the housework as if it were a military operation.
But he did show his softer side when he told them he enjoyed taking part in fancy-dress nights, and he was shown in a hot-dog costume down the boozer with his mates.
“Let this tough guy show you his soft side,” he told the women.

Euphoria, The Greatest Showman and Dune star Zendaya, who is going out with actor Tom Holland, is best known for her recurring role in Spider-Man.
She’ll be back in the spotlight later this year when Dune: Part Two hits cinemas.
Take Me Out aired on ITV between 2010 and 2020, when the broadcaster announced it had been axed. During its run, eight couples who met on the show ended up getting hitched.
