Katie, 45, has been publicly renovating her 19-room manor in West Sussex and her activity has been heavily featured on the Channel 4 series.
She initially paid £1.3 million for the large estate nine-years ago, however it is reportedly worth more than £2 million pounds in 2023.
Two lenders against the house who are her creditors want their money back and the outlet reports that trustees who are handling her cade have the power to sell the property in order to meet debts she owes.
However, legal notices placed on the mansion have prevented Katie from selling her ‘cursed’ home.
The star is now required to present her case on how she intends to pay back the £2.3 million in debt that she owes, or how the property is vital to the work she carries out.
She often shoots her content for the adult subscription based site OnlyFans from the mansion, as well as recording episodes of her podcast The Katie Price show from her office.
A financial expert told The Sun: “Time is ticking now. The court will only have so much patience with her.
“The trustee in her bankruptcy has now taken over all dealings with her creditors.
“And the trustee is now in charge of all her finances and also has powers listed in Schedule 5 of the Insolvency Act 1986.
“These powers enable the trustee to manage her estate and carry out investigations and bring legal action to improve realisations for the benefit of the creditors. These include the power sell any property comprised in the bankruptcy estate.”
Earlier this month Katie was not represented and did not attend a hearing at a specialist insolvency and companies court in London
However, barrister Darragh Connell explained that the trustees sought a re-listing of the examination after she seemingly breached her agreement on payment.
He told the court: “We are now at the stage where this matter needs to be expeditiously dealt with.”
Judge Paul Greenwood agreed, “it seems right, indeed inevitable” to list the day of questioning “as soon as the court can accommodate”.
The Insolvency and Companies Court clerk told the outlet: “The next hearing date in the above matter is 14 September 2023.”
