Lewis Capaldi has spoken out in a new interview ahead of his upcoming documentary, entitled Lewis Capaldi: How I’m Feeling Now.
The 26-year-old singing sensation was diagnosed with Tourette’s last year and has recently suffered ticks on-stage while performing, leaving his fans to fill in for him, keep singing and support the star.
Lewis has also openly discussed his health issues that include Tourette’s, anxiety and hypochondria (health anxiety), with him also touching on imposter syndrome too.

His song The Pretender – which is from his upcoming album – is said to be about imposter syndrome, while his documentary takes a complete look at his life, mental wellbeing and Tourette’s syndrome.
And now, in a new interview with The Times, it is revealed that Lewis’ mum, Carol, 56, “questions whether fame is worth it and worries” with her worrying that it’s changing her son”.
While his dad, Mark, 56, wonders whether he’s “had a good run and if now might be the time to bow out”.
And Lewis isn’t ruling out bowing out of music all together, with him branding packing it in a “very real possibility”.
Speaking off his anxiety and Tourette’s, Lewis told the publication: “It’s only making music that does this to me, otherwise I can be fine for months at a time, so it’s a weird situation.
“Otherwise I can be fine for months at a time. So it’s a weird situation. Right now, the trade-off is worth it.
“But if it gets to a point where I’m doing irreparable damage to myself, I’ll quit. I hate hyperbole but it is a very real possibility that I will have to pack music in.”
This comes after the Scottish hunk joked that streaming platform Netflix should “fire” their advertising team after an awkward photo mix-up ahead of his Netflix documentary.
The apparent “mix-up” sees a young Liz Truss appear on the promotional posters for the Netflix programme, which has now led to Lewis saying that whoever did it “needs firing”.
Taking to Twitter last week, Lewis shared to snaps of a billboard advert for the documentary, with him writing: “Ffs. Whoever is in charge of the billboards at Netflix needs firing.”
It appears that the “mix-up” was part of a wider advertising stunt that left fans praising the star.
Lewis’ touching documentary will drop onto Netflix on April 5.
