Liam and Noel Gallagher ‘to reunite’ as brothers in contact ‘behind closed doors’

Liam and Noel Gallagher are reportedly in contact “behind closed doors” and are said to be gearing up for a reunion.

The duelling brothers, who shot to fame as part of the Manchester indie band Oasis, are renowned for their famous rift.

But now, the two are set to put their years of feuding behind them in a bid to take to the stage together once more.

According to an insider, Liam and Noel have reportedly “floated the idea” of going to see Manchester City play a match together.

They have also apparently been “in talks” to meet up for a walk North London’s Hampstead Heath – which is near both of their homes.

Liam and Noel Gallagher could be set for a reunion

The music insider told The Sun: “Noel and Liam are in contact behind closed doors. They are tentatively taking steps to meet up and rebuild their relationship.

“There’s a lot of lost time to make up for and both have missed out on ups and downs in each other’s lives.

“They need to patch up their brotherly bond before they even think about getting back in the studio for an Oasis reunion, but the wheels are in motion.”

The source also claimed that the brothers “don’t mind” reunion rumours from Oasis fans.

The Manchester brothers famously fell out over 10 years ago

Noel and Liam famously fell out in August 2009 after Liam contracted laryngitis and cancelled a festival performance.

However, Noel claimed he was just hungover.

After Noel’s allegations, Liam demanded an apology, which Noel issued but subsequently quit the band after.

Speaking at the time, Noel said: “I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.”

In the wake of Oasis’ split, the two have been embroiled in a public spat ever since.

Liam went on to form Beady Eye with fellow Oasis bandmates Andy Bell, Gem Archer and Chris Sharrock.

However, after poor album sales, they decided to go their separate ways and Liam embarked on a solo career.

Noel also launched Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and has achieved success with their discography, with their Greatest Hits album released last year.
