Actress and BRIT award winner Lily Allen has told comedian Alan Carr how she lost her virginity in a holiday fling when she was just 14.
Speaking on Alan’s holiday-themed podcast Life’s a Beach, Lily described how she caused a minor panic after she disappeared off with a tall 20-year-old Brazilian named Fernando.
Because her dad, Comic Strip star Keith Allen, couldn’t find her the next morning there were fears that she might have been washed out to see while swimming.

“I lost my virginity to a guy called Fernando in Brazil,” she revealed. “But I never spoke to him again”.
“I actually went missing,” she added. “I went to his hotel room … I was on holiday with my dad and my brother, and obviously I don’t come back to my room.
“I had sort of slept in the next morning and I woke up the next day and there were police all over the hotel!”
“They were literally combing the beach and they had t-shirts and were like’s ‘this is what she was wearing’ – people thought I had drowned”
“I didn’t have the heart to say ‘no I was just losing my virginity’…”
“It was all a bit traumatic. I didn’t have sex for a while after that”.
Lily revealed in her autobiography My Thoughts Exactly how, when still 14, she had a one-night stand with a celebrity friend of her dad’s and was deeply unimpressed when the liaison became a bit of an in-joke amongst his friends.
She wrote: “After the match, the TV star left his football gear in my dad’s car, and I was dispatched to his hotel to return it.
“We arranged to meet in the bar there. He bought me a couple of drinks, then took me up to his room and had sex with me.
“I was 14. He was 19, but to me he seemed like someone from a different generation.
“Afterwards, I felt funny about it. I knew what had happened wasn’t right…”
Lily’s feelings about the hookup turned to anger after her dad made a joke of it: “My dad turned it into a shtick with his friends,” she said.
“They made up elaborate schemes to blackmail the guy and they rehearsed how they’d call him up and put the s**ts up him.
I just know that my dad turned me having sex with this guy I hardly knew, into a joke between him and his mates. That didn’t make me feel good.”
Lily, now happily married to Stranger Things star David Harbour, told Alan that these days she divides her time between New York, where she lives, and London, where she’s currently appearing in the black comedy The Pillowman with Steve Pemberton and Paul Kaye.
