Lily Allen looks ‘completely different’ as fans left gobsmacked over star’s new look

Lily Allen had viewers claiming they “didn’t recognise her” as she showed off her brand new look on The Jonathan Ross show on Saturday (April 1).

The 37-year-old – best known for her chart-topping hits like Smile and LDN – starred on the show after recently venturing into the world of acting.

Having just finished a successful stint on the West End, Lily is now set to appear on TV screens in a new Sky comedy-drama series.

And to promote the new series, the singer-songwriter sat down with telly legend Jonathan Ross on his self-titled ITV talk show.

But minutes into their interview, viewers at home couldn’t get over Lily’s new look – with some claiming she looked “completely different.”

Instead of her signature dark tresses, she rocked a short, blonde bob.

She teamed her new hairdo with a gorgeous black dress adorned with lace detailing.

Echoing their thoughts, someone else said: “Lily Allen looks completely different.”

“Wouldn’t know Lily Allen!” proclaimed a third viewer, while another person gushed over the hair transformation: “How good does Lily Allen look.”

While on the show, Lily, who is married to Stranger Things actor David Harbour, said she met her hubby on the celebrity dating app Raya.

However, at first, she had no idea who he was as she thought he was a ‘sexy policeman’ from a reality show.

This was because he had used a photo of himself as his character, police chief Jim Hopper in the science fiction drama.

The mum-of-two, who now spends the majority of her time in New York, was asked by Jonathan if she had ever done a reality show.

Lily replied and revealed she’d been approached to appear on I’m A Celebrity …Get Me Out Of Here! previously.

“The money was good. It took a lot for me to turn it down,” she admitted.
