Lorraine hits out at Harry for 'bad mouthing' Camilla as ITV guest calls him deluded

Prince Harry gave two explosive interviews last night to promote his tell-all memoir, Spare, and his words were the main topic of discussion on Monday’s instalment of Lorraine.

The daytime host welcomed several guests into the studio to give their take on his claims, including royal correspondent Jenny Bond who confessed she still finds the 38-year-old “likeable” after watching the interviews.

Jenny said: “I was pleased that watching an hour and a half of Harry on television and I still found him likeable.

Referring to mentions of Princess Diana, she added: “I have huge sympathy for what he went through and there were still glimmers of the old Harry.”

The 72-year-old then admitted she believes the dad-of-two is suffering from delusion because he can’t move past his hatred of the press.

“So much of what he seems conflicted and contradictory. As Russell said, he allowed his family to be hung out to dry on an accusation of racism which Harry says now is not true. That in my view is almost unforgivable,” she told the presenter.

Lorraine continued: “He says that he wasn’t badmouthing Camilla, but he has. Especially in the interview he did overnight.”

“Yes he has really gone for her,” Jenny agreed. “And he’s accused her of leaking stories and planting stories with the press.”

The Cash in the Attic host then revealed she attempted to cultivate a relationship with the Queen Consort after successfully forging one with Princess Diana.

“I wrote to Diana and I said, ‘Can we get to know each other just as two women?’ and she agreed. We had long conversations together. So I wrote to Camilla and asked if we could do the same.”

The former BBC star revealed Camilla wrote back and explained she had “no interest” in developing a relationship with any member of the press.
