Fans of Love Island were left furious during the latest episode after Tyrique Hyde shut down Leah Taylor with six brutal words.
During Wednesday night’s programme (June 14), Tyrique was feeling the heat after he was pushed by Leah and Ella Thomas to make a decision on who he had more interest in.
But when Leah tried to lay down the law with the footballer telling him she would rather him be “honest” about his feelings and not “flirt” with other women, he made a remark that some viewers were stunned by.

Replying to Leah’s confrontational stance, Tyrqiue said: “Look at you getting a backbone.”
Leah replied: “I’ve always had a backbone, I feel like you’ve just not asked me.”
Tyrique responded: “Well I’m still thinking, is that OK?”
However, fans appeared to dislike the phrase and headed over to Twitter to share their thoughts.
One viewer said: “Ty is shocked a girl has a brain of her own what do you mean by ‘look at you having a backbone’ this guy forgotten not all ladies are Ella.”
Another echoed: “Tyrique is unhinged ‘you grew a backbone’ who even says that.”
A third shared: “Tyrique doesn’t rate Leah. Every time telling her to twirl like a mosquito and now telling her she’s finally got a backbone.”
While a fourth added: “Saying oh you got a backbone is nutssss Tyrique a different type of Aries he’s blunt 24/7.”
But the tension was continuing to mount for Tyrique as he was later urged by Ella to make a decision on whether he wanted to pursue things with her.
Staying true to his word, Tyrique expressed that he will not be rushed into making his choice just yet and he still needs time.
But Ella was clearly having none of it and the pair ended up having another heated argument.
Seeing the pair clash once again, fans headed to Twitter.

One viewer said: “Tyrique is going to realize how much he actually likes Ella but if new girls keep coming in I don’t think he’s going to stop getting to know them so idk how Ella is going to get thru this. She needs a new guy to come in for her so she can direct that energy elsewhere.”
While another added: “Tyrique needs to enjoy his flirting in peace and stop Reassuring Ella every day. Pick a hustle boy. Nobody is stopping you from getting to know anyone or flirting.”
Near the end of the show, viewers were left stunned as they realised that a new bombshell was making his way into the villa.
But fans will have to wait until tomorrow night to see who he has his eyes on.
