Love Island star Mal Nicol lifted the lid on her intense six month relationship with former Islander Jay Younger.
The bombshell, 25, made her ITV2 debut on Wednesday (June 21) when she headed in to the villa and enjoyed dates with Mitchel Taylor and Sammy Root.
But the brunette beauty already had links to the show and shared plenty of details after Jay, 29, entered the villa last year.

In the same format as Mal, Jay joined the show as a bombshell and immediately caught the eyes of Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, with the pair crawling onto the terrace for that infamous kiss.
Following his arrival, Mal claimed she dated Jay for six months and branded him “brutal, cutthroat and selfish” before warning the Love Island girls to watch out for him.
Mal told The Sun that their intense romance reportedly ended just before Christmas 2021, with Jay calling time on things after returning home from an impromptu work trip to London.
Despite preparing to spend the festive period with her beau and his family, Mal, who hails from Edinburgh, was left “traumatised” when he revealed he would be moving to London for good.
“It was traumatising. I didn’t recognise him. I was looking at him and did not see him at all. It was horrible,” she told the publication.
“I was meant to be spending Christmas with his family. I don’t want to experience anything like that again. It was brutal.”
Mal, who is a picture researcher, went on to describe how Jay had a “pristine and structured” lifestyle and claimed: “He falls quite fast and is 100 per cent very jealous”.
She even likened her ex-boyfriend to serial killer Joe Goldberg from Netflix’s You, saying: “Me and the flatmate would always joke ‘Jay’s like the guy from You.’
“The guy Joe, from the show, is very methodical, he’s a serial killer murderer, obviously Jay’s not, but the way he’s so pristine. We would always joke, saying ‘you never see Jay with a cap on cos he’s Joe from You’.”
At the time, a source close to Jay slammed Mal’s claims, saying she was attempting to benefit from the Scottish hunk’s growing status.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, Jay’s friend said: “His ex girlfriends are just hungry for clout, that’s all. They’ve seen a situation where they can leach onto his growth and have done so.”
While Jay’s brother also spoke out about Mal’s “hurtful” comments, insisting to The Sun that they were “completely inaccurate.”

“It is very hurtful to see others mischaracterise Jay and label him with defamatory, unkind remarks that he has no ability to respond to right now,” he explained.
“Everything here is completely inaccurate. We’re looking forward to Jay showing viewers the kind, funny and intelligent guy his friends and family know and love.”
Discussing Mal’s appearance on Love Island, a source insisted to The Sun that her joining the show isn’t an act of “revenge or power move” and claimed she simply wants her own chance at finding love.
