Love Island star drove all night to confront girlfriend when she liked pal's picture

One Love Island finalist has confessed he drove through the night in order to confront his girlfriend when she liked another man’s picture on social media.

Tyler Cruickshank rose to fame on the 2021 series of the show, where he coupled up with Kaz Kamwi and placed fourth overall.

And now, in an exclusive chat with Daily Star, Tyler has confessed that he drove from London to Kent at 2am in a wild night of passion – though perhaps not the typical kind.

Discussing making the two-hour drive – a total of 38 miles – in the middle of the night, Tyler admitted: “Years ago, one of my ex-girlfriends lived in Kent, and I was still in London.

“I remember I was just scrolling on social media, as you do, and I saw that she liked a picture of a guy. Me now, I wouldn’t care. It’s just a like, do you know what I mean?

“But back then I was like, ‘No, this is not happening to me!’ I remember I got into my car at like 2am, called her up and said, ‘Listen, I’m coming to your house right now’.

“She said, ‘Tyler, it’s 2am, what do you mean?’ and I was just like, ‘I don’t care, I’m coming’.

Tyler ‘loves love’ and enjoys being in relationships

“It was 2am and I was driving from my house in London all the way to Kent just for a like!”

Later, Tyler was left red-faced by the encounter as his girlfriend explained it was simply one of her pal’s whose snap she had double tapped.

He giggled: “I’m one of those people, I love love. I like being in relationships and sometimes I do overthink things. It does make you look a fool sometimes.”

Though he’s currently single after splitting from Kaz after their time in the villa, Tyler has his eye on several of this year’s Islanders – namely Tanyel Revan and Olivia Hawkins.

He confessed: “Tanyel is a nice looking girl, and Olivia looks like a nice looking girl.

“In terms of personality, I can’t fault any of them really. What people need to remember is, you’re only seeing an hour out of the whole day.

“You’re not necessarily going to get all their personalities from that one hour, you need to wait until they come out and really start talking,” he explained.

Love Island airs nightly on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm
