Love Island star reveals why stars are forced to wear same bikinis two days in a row

Love Island’s Zara Deniz Lackenby-Brown claims Islanders are sometimes forced to wear the same bikini two days in a row.

The Winter 2023 bombshell chatted exclusively to the Daily Star and spilled some villa secrets.

The TV star said they’d often have to wear the same swimwear two days in a row during their “off” days when they had a break.

She explained how producers would want to “continue” chats from the previous day, once the Islanders were back from their breaks.

Zara said: “So we have the occasional evening off and then we might get a McDonald’s, and if we filmed in the morning, they’d then separate the boys and the girls and then we have our evening off.

“We’d do our nails whatever and just hold the chat, don’t speak about the show, and just talk about the outside world.

“Then the next day, we would put the same bikinis on and be made to have our hair exactly the same, and then carry on for continuation.”

Zara, 25, also revealed she was glad that viewers saw her “true colours” and that she was able to stand up for herself on the show.

She added: “Yeah, I think with my season, a lot of people just liked to pussyfoot around. I just say things straight up and I just think it’s easier because you’re being transparent.

“Whereas, I think a lot of people would just like to do things behind people’s backs instead. My season was a bit odd.

“There weren’t a lot of people that I think for me were, like-minded.

“But I’m really glad that the audience saw me for my true colours, because I am like this, I’m honest, and I’m very kind too.”

Zara has also dropped her first single today titled Funk You Want – which she has made with her music producer brother.

She continued: “I’ve always pursued music. I’ve loved music my whole life as I did musical theatre at uni.

“So it’s a natural kind of career progression for me… It’s a fun vibe. It’s a similar vibe to Calvin Harris’s album Funk Wav Bounces Vol.1 and Vol.2.”
