Love Island’s Amy Hart admits she and her partner sleep apart after son’s birth

Amy Hart has revealed that she and her partner sleep in separate beds.

The former Love Island star is currently dating tech entrepreneur Sam Rason after they went public with their relationship in August 2021.

She previously welcomed her first child into the world on March 3, 2023 as she opened up about her labour in a lengthy Instagram post online after she spent five days in hospital.

She told host Johnny Seifert on the Secure the Insecure podcast: “I think it’s really sort of, but we’re very different to what we thought we’d be like before.

“So like when we bought, we bought like a day bed for the nursery. And people said to me, oh, it’s brilliant, because you know, Sam can sleep in there or you can sleep in there.

“And I was like, No, we’re not actually like one of those couples that will sleep in separate beds will always sleep in the same bed together.

“Anyway, me and Stanley sleep in the big bed. And Sam sleeps downstairs in the nursery.”

She also explained that the pair would argue over how much sleep they had whilst looking after their newborn, when discussing their new child’s sleeping patterns.

The former reality TV star explained: “It’s funny at the beginning of that first week is crazy. And we laugh about it now, but I remember there was one night, I would say up to three or four.

“And then I find Sam and then we’d swap to both get a good chunk of sleep.

“Sam started yawning and was like, I’m really tired. And I was like, How can you be tired? You’ve had more sleep than me. He said, No, I have an issue.

“You had an extra half an hour sleep than me as if that was going to make him but not tired at all. Just that extra half an hour, arguing over half an hour sleep.”

She added: “Sometimes we sit down for dinner and we’re like, oh my god, it’s 10 o’clock at night. And it was 10 o’clock at night.

“So yeah, we need to get into more of a routine I think I think the routine will come when I go back to work though because at the moment, I can just lay in bed with Stanley till midday I want to and like you know, I don’t have to do anything.

“I think when I go back to work, I think that will make my Mondays and Fridays more special.

“So I want to do special stuff. And then obviously I’ll have to get up on those three working days to do stuff. So I think the routine will come then.”
