Love Island’s Catherine brutally axed with Elom – and second dumping looms

Love Island stars Catherine Agbaje and Elom Ahlijah-Wilson have been axed from the villa after a brutal dumping.

At the end of Tuesday’s instalment (July 11) of the hit ITV2 dating show, the public were tasked with voting for which couple they believe to be the most compatible.

During Wednesday’s episode (July 12), Ella Thomas received a text informing the Islanders of the public vote.

She then revealed that Catherine and Elom received the fewest votes, before Whitney Adebayo announced they had been dumped from the villa.

As a tearful Catherine had her final moments with the girls, she told them: “I’m so grateful that I met all you guys”.

After leaving, Elom said: “If I was to sum up my Love Island experience, I would say, ‘Wonderful’, only because I’ve found a connection with Catherine. I’ve met new friends in the villa as well. The only way is up from here on out.”

But that was only the beginning, as when the Islanders waved goodbye to Catherine and Elom, they received another text telling them to gather around the firepit immediately.

“I feel sick,” Mitch told his fellow Islanders before they were told that Catherine and Elom were not the only couple leaving that evening.

It was revealed that Kady McDermott and Ouzy See, Jess Harding and Sammy Root, and Leah Taylor and Montel McKenzie had all received the fewest votes and were also at risk of being dumped.

But fans will have to wait until Thursday’s episode (July 13) to find out which couple will leave the villa.

Fans went wild over the twist, with many heading straight to social media to praise the show’s producers for the shocking scenes.

Three more couples are at risk of being dumped

One fan exclaimed: “Amazinggg! Love Island have redeemed themselves tonight & we saved Scott. Love that they told Cat she’s bottom. Love the brutal dumping. Love the twist of a 2nd one. And love all their faces knowing Scott isn’t bottom 4x!”

“The producers rent was due this series because the amount of plot twists and cinematic editing it’s had so far, a girls got whiplash but i love it, live for the drama!,” added a second viewer.

While another person declared: “Best executed season by far! The twist the turns and the savagery I love is so much”.
