Love Island's Lana Jenkins dated Hollyoaks' Owen Warner before joining ITV2 show

New Love Island singleton Lana Jenkins has previously dated I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’s Owen Warner.

The 25-year-old makeup artist from Luton was reportedly Hollyoaks star Owen’s first relationship after his split from Stephanie Davis.

The 21-year-old actor, who plays Romeo Quinn on Hollyoaks, was thought to have moved on from Steph with the blonde beauty.

This came to light after he was seen reportedly leaving flirty comments on her social media a few months after his breakup with Steph in September 2019.

Lana, who has worked on CBBC’s So Awkward, was also said to have shared a sweet snap of them both on her Instagram in June 2020.

As Lana prepares to make her Love Island debut, ITV have released some juicy information about the new contestants.

When asked what gives her the “ick”, she said: “I don’t mind people texting me all the time but if you send me question marks if I’ve not replied to you in a while, you’re gone. That’s a really big red flag for me! Also if I see a guy trip over, that’s an instant turn off.”

She also added: “I fall in love quickly. I tend to know quite soon if I could fall in love with that person and then, as long as everything is going well, I’ll probably tell them I love them in about a week.”

Lana then revealed that she has “worked with lots of celebrities” during her career.

Plus, when she was six years old she used to live in Spain and was in an episode of Benidorm as an extra.

Lana is obviously single now but may end up talking about her romance with this year’s I’m A Celeb eye candy on the ITV2 show.

Owen and Lana’s romance came after the former Hollyoaks co-stars split in September 2019.

At the time, a representative confirmed the couple had parted ways to OK! online.

An insider told the publication that it followed “weeks of trying to work through their differences”.

The source added: “They decided to end it today and Steph is insisting there’s no going back.

“She couldn’t be more devastated as she saw a real future with Owen, particularly as he’s been a father figure to Caben.

“Steph is absolutely heartbroken and devastated it’s over – she wanted to be with Owen forever and now all of a sudden she’s mourning the loss of him in her and Caben’s lives.”

Love Island returns on January 16 at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
