In their first interview since leaving the villa, Lochan was asked how he felt about being the runners up of this year’s series.
“Shocking!,” he admitted. “That’s the word that really stands out. Extremely grateful that the public saw what I saw in Whitney. Being in the final was a real shock.”
Lochan, who entered the hit ITV2 dating show during Casa Amor, added: “I didn’t have as long a journey but it was an amazing feeling.
“I felt so blessed. I could have left two weeks ago and been happy and I think it was the same for Whitney. We took everything in.
During the final episode, the couple made things exclusive and spoke about what they are most excited about after leaving the villa.
“I’m so excited to spend time with Whitney in our own homes with our family,” Lochan said.
“We are home bodies so it will be nice to spend time with each other. But at the same time having dates and walks without being on a microphone!”
Whitney added: “We are low key vibes. We will be chilling.”
The final figures were revealed to the public after the show came to a close, with Jess and Sammy winning by a huge margin.
The couple secured 34.57% of viewers’ votes while Whitney and Lochan received 26.85%.
This was followed by Tyrique and Ella who gained 24.21% of the votes, while Zach and Molly came in fourth with 14.37%.
