Winter Love Island is just days away from returning to our screens, but one contestant who is set to turn heads in the South African villa has already fallen victim to trolling on social media.
Love Island hunk Will Young – who enters the villa on Sunday (January 15) – has already amassed an impressive one million followers on TikTok thanks to his heart-warming videos documenting his life as a sheep farmer.
But the blond beefcake hasn’t thrived on the social media platform without facing backlash from trolls online, after sharing he received “death threats” in an exclusive interview with Daily Star and other publications.

A few months before it was announced the 23-year-old was joining the cast of the ITV2 dating show, he shared a graphic video of the farmer coming to the aid of a pregnant sheep.
In the clip, Will filmed himself using his bare hands as he guided a lamb out of its mother after its head and hooves got stuck while giving birth.
Looking back over that dark period in his life, the beefcake explained how the horrid experience had prepared him for life in the public eye.
He said: “You know what I guess so, in that period of time when that was happening, I think the video was taken a bit out of context.
“Everything that I do it is around the welfare of the animals. I would never put them in danger or anything because at the end of the day I think people do forget that I am a professional.
“I’ve been doing this for such a long time,” he added. “With the death threats, obviously it was a little bit of a shock when I woke up and saw it, however like I said you can’t please everyone and people will go to extremes so I think you’ve just got take it as it comes.”

After establishing himself as an influencer on the short-form website, the loveable farmer shared his advice to his future Islanders on how to block out online hate from trolls.
He said: “Yeah possibly I think it’s one of those things. I’m a strong believer that you can’t please everyone and everyone’s entitled to their own opinions.
“You’ve just got to kind of block it out and believe in yourself and believe what you’re doing is right and you’ll be okay”.
Love Island will air at 9pm on ITV2 and will also be available to stream on ITVX.
