Madonna has proudly hit back at critics who mocked her “swollen” face at the recent Grammy Awards.
The Like A Virgin hitmaker, who openly embraces “tweakments”, posted a picture of herself with a flawless complexion and sporting long, red braids with the tongue-in-cheek caption: “Look how cute I am now that swelling from surgery has gone down. Lol.”
Madonna, 64, also expressed her disappointment over how viewers were more obsessed with her face rather than her words at the Grammys, where she paid tribute to Sam Smith and Kim Petras for “making history”.

She told fans she is “caught in the glare of ageism and misogyny that permeates the world we live in”.
Madonna went on to say that she has “never apologised” for any of her creative choices or how she dresses – and she’s not going to start now.
She added: “A world that refuses to celebrate women past the age of 45 And feels the need to punish her if she continues to be strong-willed, hard-working and adventurous.
“I have been degraded by the media since the beginning of my career but I understand that this is all a test and I am happy to do the trailblazing so that all the women behind me can have an easier time in the years to come.”
Following Madonna’s Grammy appearance, critics speculated her plastic surgery had been botched with scores of “nasty” slurs on social media.
So her latest image is an up yours to all those who slammed her “swollen” face.
Meanwhile, fashion brand PrettyLitteThing is said to be “in talks” with Madonna about a collaboration.
A showbiz insider told The Sun that despite it being “early days”, they are certain the tie-up could be a “commercial success”.
“It’s early days but there have been some discussions about Madonna joining up with PLT,” they revealed. “Maybe for her own range or to front a campaign.”
The source continued: “It would probably be a huge commercial success, its clothes sell by the bucket load to young women, and it might well help her appeal to a new generation.
