According to Marie Claire, Meghan and the show’s other stars get cash every time the episodes air in the US or on the NBA Peacock streaming service. Meghan also cashes in due to the show being streamed on Netflix and it is a popular show on the platform.

Sources have said that it was this money that helped Meghan and her husband Prince Harry afford their sprawling Montecito home after they quit their roles as senior royals in 2020. According to Forbes, Meghan contributed an estimated $2 million towards the stunning property.

It was also reported that the rest of the money came from Harry’s inheritance from his mother Princess Diana. In the infamous interview, Oprah asked Harry if his family had cut him off. Harry replied: “Yeah, in the first half, the first quarter of 2020. But I’ve got what my mum left me, and, without that, we would not have been able to do this.”

A source told Us Weekly: “Harry could’ve asked [Prince] Charles to contribute toward the cost of the house, but he chose not to … Getting his dad financially involved would result in the royals having control over him. It would mean going backwards.”
