Minka Kelly's ex 'branded' her with tattoo in intimate area 'like she was in a cult'

Actress Minka Kelly was “branded” with a tattoo by her ex-boyfriend, she has claimed in a new memoir.

The Friday Night Lights star, 42, also alleged she had to pay $50,000 (£40,000) to buy back a raunchy sex tape.

Writing in her memoir Tell Me Everything, which has been obtained by Page Six, she claimed that her ex wanted her to get his name tattooed on her.

The pair settled on a tattoo of their lip prints, which she got tattooed “on the side of [her] pubic mound”.

She added: “Little did I know I’d spend the rest of my life explaining to new lovers what the mark was, lying to everyone. I was too ashamed to admit the truth.

“I’d been so dependent on a man I’d let him brand me as [if] I was a member of the NXIVM cult.”

The Friday Night Lights star even alleged that her abusive ex-boyfriend took nude photos of her before filming the 17-year-old in “raunchier” sex scenes.

She claims he attempted to send the video to the press years later, which the star says cost her $50,000 (£40,000) to buy back the film.

He also allegedly tried to coax the model into getting intimate with a mutual female friend, before branding her a “slut”.

Minka politely declined, which proceeded with her boyfriend and his pal having sex in front of her.

The next day, she learned that she was pregnant with his child.

Her mum, who was a stripper and subjected Minka to early years of abuse and homelessness, wanted to raise the baby with her.

She wrote: “I couldn’t imagine bringing a baby into what my mother brought me into. Absolutely not.

“Raising a child with my mother would only continue this family trauma, another cycle added to so many generations of pain.”

Minka decided that having an abortion was the right choice to avoid damaging her child.
