Naked Attraction star makes history as she returns to Channel 4 show after transitioning

A Naked Attraction star has made history after she returned to the show following a gender transition.

Sarah Tayler made her debut on the racy nude Channel 4 show a few years ago as David before coming out as transgender.

The participant never found love the first time around and admitted she struggled on her quest to find love.

But Sarah has proved romance is in the air and confirmed she’s in a relationship with fellow participant Keisha Herbert.

Sarah appeared on This Morning with Keisha yesterday (April 20) and spoke about her transition journey.

“It’s incredible, absolutely incredible,” she said. “To suddenly go out and live full time as your true self and you know in your heart, it is your true self.

“It’s just the most beautiful and amazing feeling. But obviously, you know, there are troubles on the way. Being trans and being freshly transitioning is not an easy thing.”

Discussing her decision to re-appear on the show, she explained: “So I was in contact with the team anyway. Because they’d heard I was transitioning and it’s just a bit of interest.

“But when I found that dating was just really difficult, and people were not turning up and it was just awful, so I thought, ‘you know what, maybe if I did go on there a second time, being my true self, knowing exactly who I am and what I’m looking for, maybe it would work out.”

Sarah then clarified that although she had been in contact with the show’s team, she still had to audition like any other participant, adding that there was no preferential treatment.

Discussing the difference between going on the show, first as a man and then as a woman, Sarah continued: “One thing I’ve learned is that the true attraction in a person is the eyes and the smile. You can tell so much from that.

“And yet, David was going on with a typical masculine attitude and that didn’t work. He wasn’t looking for the deeper connection. And when you’re looking at eyes and smile, oh my God, that’s where you see everything.”

With Sarah living in Plymouth and Keisha in Leeds, the distance between the couple may make things difficult, but Keisha says they manage to get it to work.

“It’s been nice talking, we talk every single day, literally every day” she explained, continuing: “When the kids are on holidays, I used to go see Sarah in Plymouth and would catch either a train or coach.

“Longest Journey of my life. It’s such a long journey, you could fly somewhere in that time.”

Despite the distance, and their rather unique way of meeting, Sarah and Keisha are still going strong nine months after filming their episode of Naked Attraction.
