Neighbours’ Brad Willis star unrecognisable in new career 30 years after soap exit

Neighbours heartthrob Brad Willis, portrayed by the dashing Scott Michaelson, has undergone a big transformation three decades after bidding farewell to the iconic soap in 1993.

Fans fondly remember Brad as the hunky surfer who graced the screens of the long-running Australian show between 1991 and 1993.

Originally played by Benjamin Mitchell, Scott took over the role in the early 90s and quickly captured the hearts of viewers.

Despite his popularity, Brad bid farewell to Ramsay Street in 1993.

Following his departure from Neighbours, Scott ventured into the New Zealand series, Shortland Street, and left his mark in various other shows like Paradise Beach, The New Adventures of Flipper, and Sabrina Down Under.

In an interview with Woman’s Day, Scott shared his reason for shifting gears away from acting, saying: “I wasn’t happy with not being able to control my own destiny and wanted a sense of security around my future.”

The entertainment industry’s unpredictability led him to seek a different path where he could be the master of his own fate.

Scott transformed himself into a successful talent manager, with one of his notable clients being the talented Holly Valance, famed for her sensational hit, Kiss Kiss.

He still has his long blonde locks and looks every bit the hunk in his latest snap, but he’s got a dapper new look with a black jacket and a matching shirt.

Despite facing challenges in their professional journey, Scott helped Holly land a role in Neighbours in 1999 before she transitioned to focus on her music career.

However, their relationship later hit rough waters when a court ordered Holly to pay him $350,000 due to a contractual dispute.

Holly even questioned his qualifications to manage her rising stardom.

Despite the setback, Scott persevered and chose to explore new horizons.

Today, Scott finds fulfillment in managing top real estate agents through his thriving enterprise, Smile Elite.

His LinkedIn profile boasts a diverse background that includes co-owning a pub in St Kilda, pioneering Melbourne’s first solarium tanning salon, and creating a skincare range that earned the prestigious Skincare Brand of the Year award in 2009.
