Operation Repo star Sonia Pizarro has died at 60.
The reality star and actress passed away in her sleep on Wednesday (May 3), her niece and co-star Lyndah Pizarro announced.
Despite the reality star experiencing a stroke that left her in the hospital a few years ago, Lyndah confirmed that her death was not brought on by its complications.

Shortly after Sonia’s death had been announced, her family, friends and devoted fans shared their condolences online.
Her ex-husband Froylan Tercero, who also starred in Operation Repo, penned a heartfelt tribute: “She will always have a place in my heart and on my body since I still have her name tattooed on my stomach.”

Adding: “Sonia, we love you, and I will honour you with all the good mementoes you gave me, thank you, and I love you.”
Sonia’s friend Froylan, who starred with the reality star in the 2009 Repo Chick, hailed her as “a bad a** chick that kicked some serious a**.”
One Twitter user shared several snaps of the star alongside the caption: “Remembering operation repo, Sonia Pizarro.”

Another wrote: “May she rest in peace. I enjoyed watching her on the show.”
And a third simply said: “Damn rip,” as a fourth added: RIP Sonia, you’ll be missed.”
Sonia and several of her family members rose to fame on the TruTV series Operation Rep before Sonia branched out into acting in movies.

In 2009, she starred in Repo Chick before starring in the spin-off in 2016 titled Operation Repo: Lou’s Revenge.
Several years later, in 2018, she featured in a movie titled Followed.
In 2018, when Sonia experienced a stroke, she was unable to speak and had limitations in her basic motor functions in recent years.
Sonia leaves behind her three kids, Ruby, Robert and Froylan Jr.
