Prince Harry has claimed brother William was fuming when he was allowed to keep his beard for his wedding to Meghan Markle in 2018.
The Duke of Sussex, 38 opened up about the alleged incident during his bombshell interview on ITV on Sunday (January 8).
In the one-off special Harry, who left the royal family in 2020, discussed his tell-all memoir, Spare, due to be released next week.

In the book, Harry recalled how prior to getting married to Meghan, he had to ask permission, as required, from his grandmother the late Queen to keep his beard.
However, as Harry claims, William was ‘livid’ and another row broke out between the two brothers that went on for a week.
Their bitter argument ended with William, apparently ordering Harry, as the heir to spare, to shave off his beard.
Speaking to Tom Brady during his bombshell interview, Harry mused: “I think it’s – a lot of it is to do with – I mean I refer to it as heir/spare but also older brother/younger brother, right?
“There’s a level of competition there,” he added.
Harry went on: “I remembered that William had a beard himself and that granny and other people, the ones to tell – told him that he had to shave it off.”
The dad-of-two then said how the difference for him was that his beard felt like the “new Harry,” something he told his grandmother.
Harry explained: “As almost like a shield to my anxiety. That was – that was the time of my life when I grew my beard.
“And I think William found it hard that other people told him to shave it off, and yet here I was on my wedding day wearing military uniform, no longer in the military but believing as though I should shave it off before my wedding day.
“And I said ‘Well I don’t believe that Meghan’s gonna recognise me if she comes up the aisle and sees me beardless.”
Harry added he would feel “very, very different” without his beard.
According to Page Six, Harry alleges in his book that William “bristled” when The Queen gave him the “green light” to keep his facial hair.
Harry reportedly responded to The Prince of Wales by telling him that “his opinion didn’t really matter.”
“He raised his voice,” Harry wrote, adding that William said the queen “had no choice but to say yes” to Harry.
“At one point he actually ordered me, as the ‘heir’ speaking to the ‘spare,’ to shave,” Harry then claimed.
The publication also reports that Prince William apparently confessed that he was “bitter” after not being allowed to keep his own “full beard.”
