Priscilla Presley 'no longer speaking to granddaughter' after ongoing will battle

Priscilla Presley is no longer on speaking terms with her granddaughter Riley Keough following an ongoing dispute over her daughter Lisa Marie Presley’s will, according to reports.

The 77 year old widow of singer Elvis Presley and her 33 year old granddaughter are currently in a heated legal battle, which has played out through the two parties’ lawyers over the past month or so.

The saga began following the unexpected death of Elvis’ only child Lisa Marie Presley who changed the terms of her will to make daughter Riley and son Benjamin – who tragically died by suicide in 2020 – her sole heirs.

The change in her will took place in 2016 which saw her mother completely removed from document as a trustee as well as her business manager Barry Siegel.

Although it has not been made clear how much Lisa had left to her children in her will, according to reports, mum Priscilla was enraged by the outcome and has since challenged the 2016 amendments.

An anonymous source has since shed some light on the developing story after Priscilla urged fans to “ignore the noise” over the family dispute.

The insider told Entertainment Tonight: “Riley has been mourning the loss of her mother and is heartbroken to have to deal with a trust dispute with a family member.

“Priscilla is adamant that she has a valid case and that she will prevail in court.

“Riley and Priscilla aren’t communicating at this time, but have been in communication through lawyers.”

The source also explained that Riley initially preferred to settle their family differences privately as she understands that her mother never wanted this to happen.

However the insider also alleges that Priscilla is convinced that the old “documents has been forged”.

Sharing her thoughts on the dispute this month, Priscilla said wanted to find “a pathway forward with respect, honesty, dignity, integrity and love.”

Offering an opposing view, while speaking on SiriusXM’s Elvis Radio, Joel Weinshanker, a managing partner at Elvis Presley Enterprises, said: “It was always Riley and Ben.

“There was never a question in her mind that they would be the stewards, that they would look at it exactly the way she did.

“Obviously, when Ben passed, it really sat with Riley.”
