Rebecca Loos has claimed that she and David Beckham exchanged “naughty” texts and that the footballer showed them to his friends.
The 47-year-old was at the centre of a media storm back in 2004 when she claimed that she’d had an affair with the footballer while she was his personal assistant. David has always denied the allegations, calling the claims “ludicrous”.
But the whole story has resurfaced with the release of David and wife Victoria’s new Netflix documentary, Beckham. The series gives fans unprecedented access to the star couple, and also alludes to the scandal.

Rebecca, who is now a happily married mum, has now claimed to the Mail On Sunday that the footy ace shared the alleged cheeky messages with other people. “We were texting and it was getting naughty, it was fun… then suddenly I get a text from the Spanish bodyguard,” she was quoted as saying.
“It said, “Stop. He’s showing them to his friends and they are all laughing”.’
The star said that she was “hurt” about it. She also said that she became “more laissez faire” about the situation.
David has denied the affair allegations. He said in a statement at the time: “During the past few months I have become accustomed to reading more and more ludicrous stories about my private life.”
“The simple truth is that I am very happily married,” he went on. “I have a wonderful wife and two very special kids. There is nothing any third party can do to change these facts.”
In the new documentary, Beckham and Victoria don’t mention Rebecca’s name but Victoria spoke about the time around 2004, when he moved to Spain to play for Real Madrid, being the “hardest period” of their lives. He said in Beckham: “There were some horrible stories that were difficult to deal with. It was the first time that me and Victoria had been put under that kind of pressure in our marriage.”
Victoria added: “It was the hardest period for us. Because it felt like the world was against us. And here’s the thing; we were against each other, if I’m being completely honest. You know, up until Madrid sometimes it felt like us against everybody else. But we were together. We were connected. We had each other.”
She went on: “But when we were in Spain, it didn’t really feel that we had each other either. And that’s sad. I can’t even begin to tell you how hard it was and how it affected me.”
The sports star tied the knot with Posh Spice-turned-designer Victoria in 1999. When the affair claims emerged in 2004, the pair shared sons Brooklyn and Romeo. They are now also parents to son Cruz and daughter Harper.
Daily Star has contacted a representative for David for comment.
