BBC Breakfast favourite Naga Munchetty made a veiled dig at Saturday Kitchen’s Matt Tebbutt after he begged her for “a bit of sparring”.
Naga, 48, was quick to make a veiled jibe at Matt, 49, midway through her hosting duties for the beloved morning programme.
During Saturday morning’s (April 1) live link to the Saturday Kitchen studio, Matt said he was “waiting” for Naga to make her usual “punchline”.

Naga asked the skilled chef if he had some “good cooks and chefs” coming up on his show today, which left room for a sly jibe from Naga after Matt begged for some “sparring”.
Naga gave Matt what he asked for when she went on to add: “So that means that you’re not cooking,” before laughing slightly.
Pretending to look shocked and taken aback by the jovial jibe, Matt said: “Ah there it is! That is! Ow, that hurt!”
This comes as Matt was joined by chefs Jack Croft and Will Murray from Fallows who cooked up a storm with a cabbage.
Jack and Will cooked up a recipe for confit cabbage, that comprised of with chestnuts, crispy cabbage leaves and a vibrant green sauce.
The confit cabbage is on offer at Fallows for £18, which left some viewers stunned in disbelief.
“£18 for the cabbage. No thanks,” penned one.
While another added: “Yeh and all that faffing around for a cabbage.”
Elsewhere on the show, Saliha Mahmood Ahmed focused on gut health and eating 30 veggies and legumes a week.
Rise and Fall host Greg James was the special guest on the show and was faced with food heaven or hell, while Helen McGinn picked out the wines to go with the studio dishes.
