Comedian Seann Walsh has revealed he’s become a father, but the labour didn’t quite go as smoothly as hoped for the new Dad.
Seann, 37, revealed the happy news that his girlfriend Grace Adderley had given birth in a sweet video on Instagram. The couple haven’t yet revealed the gender or name of their new arrival, and previously claimed they didn’t want to find out before birth.
Speaking from hospital, Strictly and I’m A Celebrity star Seann thanked the staff before he revealed he’d fainted as his partner was in labour.
Speaking on social media, he said: “Oh btw. I passed out during the birth. Of course I did. The nurse’s response… ‘Men.’ Fair.”

The comedian, who competed on ITV’s I”m A Celeb last year, told his viewers in a sweet video: “o Grace has just had our baby and I’m sat here in the very relaxing postnatal department and the staff have been great.
“”The nurses have been coming up to me all morning and congratulating me which – it’s just been lovely. I didn’t realise how many people knew what the Chortle Comedy Award for Best Show was but you know, at least these nurses have their finger on the pulse, they really do. Just shows you how well the NHS is doing really.
“I should have brought the award with me but I wasn’t thinking.”
He then joked: “The baby. But yeah, no, great week actually. Really great week, actually.”
Fans have rushed to congratulate the star on his happy news and new fatherhood.
One wrote: “Congratulations mate. Nom’d for worlds best dad 2023 for sure.”
Another added: “Ahhhhhh omg Seann !!!!! Congratulations!!!! Xxxxxxz.”
“Did you really faint???!!!!” said a third.
In an interview last year, the couple shared their excitement as becoming parents as they revealed they weren’t going to find out the gender before giving birth.
In an interview with HELLO! Seann said: “We’ve decided not to find out if we’re having a girl or a boy until the big day, and I don’t have a preference, but for some reason I can only picture a boy.”
The couple have yet to reveal whether the baby is a boy or girl.
The stand up comedian also revealed he would be using the birth experience for fresh material for his stand up, as he shared: “Grace will be immersed in the miracle of it all, while I’ll be thinking, ‘This could make a good ten minutes on stage’.
“If ever I feel tense or awkward, I do always feel I have to break the tension with something funny. And it will be my first ever dad joke.”
