Spencer Matthews has finally broken his silence over claims that he “snubbed” his best friend Jamie Laing’s wedding to Sophie Habboo.
The reality TV star has revealed that he wasn’t even invited to the ceremony that took place at the Chelsea Registry Office in West London.
After Jamie and Sophie got hitched, fans were left puzzled when they noticed Spencer was nowhere to be seen.

Rumours began to swirl that Spencer had purposely decided to go on a holiday to Portugal with his wife Vogue Williams and their three children at the same time as Jamie’s nuptials.
However, in a recent episode of the Spencer & Vogue podcast, the former Made in Chelsea star finally cleared the air and set the record straight.
“I wasn’t invited,” Spencer revealed on the podcast.
“I’m not here to b***h about my best friend but there’s been some serious miscommunication from him.”
Sophie and Jamie had previously teased fans about their low-key ceremony, with plans for their main celebration set to take place in Seville, Spain, in May.
However, fans were left scratching their heads when Jamie and Sophie appeared dressed up to the nines and surrounded by their closest friends at a lavish dinner in the city.
Despite receiving some “really mean messages” as a result of his absence from the ceremony, Spencer was thrilled for the happy couple. “Sophie looked absolutely magnificent,” he said.
The Finding Michael star explained. “I’m being absolutely hammed for ‘snubbing’ my best friend’s wedding to go on holiday…
“I just want set the record straight,” Spencer continued. “I’m not here to whinge. I was not invited to this part of Jamie’s wedding, and neither was Vogue.”
According to Spencer, he had even offered his help to Jamie Laing with the registry about 10 days prior, during the recording of their podcast, 6 Degrees.
As one of Jamie’s best men, Spencer wanted to make sure that he was available to assist in any way he could, but Jamie had informed him that it was going to be a “very small family thing” with hardly anyone in attendance.
Spencer was left even more bewildered when he returned from his vacation to an article suggesting that he had deliberately “snubbed” the wedding.
Spencer then saw pictures from the day of Jamie surrounded by the other groomsmen and thought “What the f**k is happening here?”
After a call to the groom the following day, Spencer finally learned that the day had gotten bigger and there was “never supposed to be groomsmen and bridesmaids there.”
The dad-of-three told his listeners that if he’d been invited, he would have “flown over to Japan” but insisted it’s “water under the bridge now”.
