BBC Strictly Come Dancing contestants Giovanni Pernice and Amanda Abbington took to the dance floor in the second live show of the series for the movie night special.
The pair’s rumba went down reasonably well with the judges, as they bagged a 6 from Craig and an 8 from Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke, giving them a respectable 30 out of 40.
However, viewers are still unimpressed with the couple amid rumours of a feud bubbling between the pair and Amanda’s comments about the trans community.

As the pair took to the stage, fans rushed to social media to joke about boycotting their performance, with one saying: ” “And.. muting the channel for 5 minutes.”
Another added: “Oh. Damn. My TV just suddenly turned itself off. Well, I guess I better give it ten minutes before turning it back on.”
A third chipped in: “Time to switch over to uh, britain’s best beach huts on channel 4 for about 8 minutes.”
A fourth joked: ” “Telly keeps cutting out when Amanda’s on. Funny that.”
Only last week, rumours emerged that Giovanni and Amanda were clashing behind the scenes during their training sessions, with Amanda reportedly threatening to quit.
Amanda took to social media to shut down the rumours, as she said on social media: “Just stop it. You know who you are.
“Stop it, grow up. No one gives a [expletive] and shut up, it’s [expletive]. You know who I’m talking to as well, so come on, jog on. It’s nonsense and you know it’s nonsense.”
The pair also appeared on It Takes Two to talk about their friendship, as Janette Manrara asked: “It honestly looks like you two are having the best time in rehearsals, getting along like a house on fire in rehearsals right?”
Amanda replied: “Yeah we are, we are! We do and we laugh a lot, we have the same sense of humour which is really important. So we’ll come out, work hard, and then we just laugh don’t we.
“We do have a good time, but at the same time, obviously we have to do our dance. It’s a difficult process, especially for people who have never done it Strictly before.
“I always say, ‘It’s a marathon, not a sprint.’ The first few weeks are difficult, it is difficult, it’s a lot of hours to train, a lot of hours to be concentrating but then when you get to Saturday and do what you did.”
