Strictly Come Dancing star Adam Thomas has confessed his wife was left in tears on an emotional phone call weeks after he joked about the show’s so-called “curse”.
The Emmerdale hunk joked “bring it on” about the “Strictly curse” after he was announced for the show. But now he’s made it clear there’s absolutely no chance that could happen.
While training with his pro partner Luba Mushtuk, Waterloo Road star Adam has been really struggling with missing wife Caroline. The couple have been married for six years.

The 35-year-old has said that rather than the intense show making them grow apart, it has had the opposite effect. So he and Caroline won’t be the next victims of the show “curse”.
Adam told The Sun: “Absence definitely makes the heart grow fonder because I’m constantly ringing her going, ‘God, I love you so much.’ She just rang me, crying, going, ‘You don’t know how much it means.’
“I’m so used to being at home all the time as well. We are definitely missing each other.
“It’s the biggest emotional rollercoaster you could possibly ever imagine. I never in my wildest dreams that thought it would be as tough as it is.”
Adam and Caroline, 32, share son Teddy, nine, and Elsie, five. And sadly for him, Adam isn’t just suffering emotional pain from being away from his family.
He also suffers from rheumatoid arthritis, which affects his joints. Earlier this year he was even left bed bound and also on crutches.
Adam is doing lots of physio and taking plenty of rest to keep in going in the competition. This week, he and Luba were third on the leaderboard with their Waltz to Curtis Stigers’ I Wonder Why.
