Sydney Sweeney’s co-star “nearly died” as he stripped totally naked after finding a giant spider in his pants.
The 26-year-old actress and Hollywood hunk Glen Powell, 35, played leading roles in upcoming rom-com, Anyone But You, which hits the silver screen on Boxing Day. While the pair sizzled in an array of swimwear throughout Will Gluck’s rib-tickling flick, one scene erupted into absolute chaos leaving Glen to show off his manhood, while Sydney tended to a spider bite.

Sydney character Bea and Glen’s Ben unexpectedly reunite after a first date, and decide to pose as the perfect couple at an Australian wedding. As Ben stood in the hot Sydney sun by a cliff edge, Bea went for a rummage in his shorts and pulled out an eight-legged surprise. In a frenzy, the Top Gun: Maverick actor stripped completely naked – and it nearly ended in disaster.
“You just have to grip it and rip it on a scene like that,” the actor told Variety of his nude scene. But as Glen raced to get his kit off, he said that he nearly had a fatal accident.
“Nobody talks about that safety issue on set, where I almost died falling off a cliff taking my pants off too fast,” he added. “But it’s a really fun scene, so it was all worth it.”
Meanwhile, their arachnid co-star continued to cause havoc, and this time, it was Sydney’s turn to be terrorised. The giant spider decided to sink its fangs into the Euphoria beauty as traumatised Glen bent over to check if he was tarantula-free.
“There’s the spider itself, which actually bit me, and that was a whole thing,” Sweeney candidly recalled. “And then we have the part of Glen bending over and me checking to see if there are more spiders.”
The short scene took half a day to film, the actress said. Despite the mayhem, Sydney said thing’s for sure: “I’m very acquainted with Glen now.”
