The Chase's Bradley Walsh halts ITV show as he blasts 'ludicrous' question

The Chase host Bradley Walsh broke down laughing when one of his contestants was asked a bizarre question on the ITV quiz show.

Ex-EastEnders star Bradley welcomed players Janine, Eli, Thomas and Carol into the studio on Wednesday (March 1) who were all eager to bag a big sum of money.

But the ITV quiz host was forced to halt the show for a minute after contestant Thomas from Doncaster was asked a question that left him in fits of giggles.

And he wasn’t afraid to mock whoever came up with the question as he slammed it in front of the players and cameras, branding it a “ludicrous” question.

Thomas had managed to rack up £5,000 in his cashbuilder, but things took a chaotic turn after he faced chaser Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett in the next round.

He was asked the question: “Which of these actions can humans not do underwater?”, with possible answers “See”, “Smell,” and “Hear”.

Bradley started laughing before he quipped: “I was hoping also breathe was gonna come up…”

Mark started giggling too, as well as the studio, before Bradley declared: “A ludicrous question!”

And luckily for the player’s dignity, he correctly guessed it was “Smell”.

Bradley then gave a warning for his younger viewers as he added: “I have to say, kids, do not try that at home.”

Sadly for Thomas, he was the only player on his team to make it to the final against Mark as Janine, Eli and Carol got knocked out despite decent performances in their cashbuilder rounds.

And he was sent packing by The Beast after achieving only seven points in the final, with Bradley admitting the questions were “brutal”.

Mark made easy work of the player as he caught him with a minute and 14 seconds on the clock, but he admitted he was up against it as his teammates weren’t there to back him up.
