The Chase’s Bradley Walsh pulls player aside as they starred on rival quiz show

Bradley Walsh didn’t look pleased during the latest episode of The Chase after a contestant failed to mention that he had appeared on a rival quiz show.

On Monday’s programme (May 1), player number four Richard gave a brilliant performance during his cash builder round achieving £8,000 with ease.

But when faced with chaser Paul Sinah in round two, the TV brainbox mentioned that he already recongnised Richard “straight away” from series eight of Only Connect.

However once Bradley heard this, he was clearly shocked and pulled Richard to one side to express his concerns.

Bradley Walsh told off a contestant on the show

Giving him a light-hearted grilling, Bradley joked: “You didn’t tell me that did you!”

The presenter added: “Are you trying to make me look stupid in front of my fans?

“If you don’t play the game mate you know where you’ll be. Six under and four across.”

Bradley then warned Richard that he was keeping his eyes on him throughout the remainder of the show.

Richard also appeared on Only Connect

Once the revelation was revealed, fans also took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

One social media user wrote: “Ah he’s been on only connect. Figures.”

While another added: “On only connect. Hustler.”

The latest episode of The Chase left a number of viewers on the edges of their seats as Richard, along with players Rosie and Dougie, all gave spectacular performances.

And with £43,000 in the kitty, it was all or nothing in the final round.

The contestants put on a dazzling display

But despite their best efforts, the team only managed to answer eighteen questions correctly which left Bradley concerned and doubtful that they will win the show.

However although Bradley was apprehensive at first, chaser Paul didn’t manage to answer all 18 questions, which lead to a fabulous win for the team.

Seeing their rare and epic triumph, fans headed straight over to Twitter to congratulate the team.

One person penned: “Chuffed for them. Well deserved win.”

And another wrote: “Nice going, team! £14,333K each! And as Dire Straits once sang, Richard got some ‘Money for Nothing!'”
