One star of The Human Centipede has confessed the movie featured scenes that were “horrible” to film – and confessed the question she gets asked most after starring as ‘the middle woman’.
In case you’re unfamiliar with one of the grisliest horror flicks ever made, the film follows a mad scientist who is determined to stitch three humans together, mouth to bum. Aside from some truly graphic surgery scenes, the victims are forced to deal with infections, death and the general misery that comes with being surgically attached to another person.
TV presenter Alex Zane recently took to discussing the movie on JaackMaatee’s Happy Hour podcast, claiming he knows one of the actresses from the second flick. He revealed: “I knew someone who was The Human Centipede II.

“And they said, ‘Yeah, no, we were meant to have these special pants to wear, but they were paper thin’. So you really did have your face… And she said it was horrible because you have your nose in between the buttocks of the person in front with very, very little protection.”
One host then joked: “I’d be putting some Lynx Africa down there in the morning.”
Director Tom Six said of the first film – which “started out as a joke” – that the actors really did have to go through some horrific stuff during filming. He explained to The Guardian: “The three actors wore little shorts that looked like bandages: around the anus area we attached a latex knob, which they had to bite down on. We combined this with prosthetics on their faces so it looked like they were actually attached to the butt of the person in front.”
A massage therapist was on set to help deal with the discomfort, while a “lot of fart jokes” were made during filming. Even the prosthetic cheeks the actors wore made it difficult to eat during breaks.
Meanwhile, actress Ashley C Williams, who played Lindsay, admitted she was worried that she’d accidentally walked onto the set of a “snuff film” with how realistic everything appeared on set – and discussed that very awkward idea of farting so close to the mouths of another actor.

She admitted: “The number one question I get asked is did anyone fart in my mouth? No! We were very respectful of one another and the suits were layered so we weren’t even close to the other person’s butt.
“The infamous scene where the character at the front of the centipede has to relieve himself was filmed in one take and took 10 seconds. It was easy but I was grateful Tom didn’t film it for longer than he had to,” she said.
