ITV’s This Morning was booed live at the National Television Awards on Tuesday (5 September).
It’s said bosses were concerned about what the reaction could be towards the presenting team which consists of the likes of Holly Willoughby, Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.
At the beginning of the evening, the host of the NTA’s Joel Dommett introduced them to the audience and boos could be heard in the room as they were shown on the screen.

This Morning was up for the Best Daytime gong against other shows including The Chase and Loose Women.
It comes just days after Willoughby returned to our screens on the ITV show after an extended summer break.
Holly chose to take extra time off from the show in the wake of the scandal that engulfed the show and co-host Phillip.
The pair’s relationship was reportedly already rocky after Phil’s brother had been jailed for child sexual assault offenses.
But the former duo’s friendship was officially severed after he left the ITV show in May.
Phil was axed from the program after it emerged that he had an affair with a younger colleague while he was married to his wife Steph.
Fans previously took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to comment on This Morning being put forward for the award.
One person said: “#ThisMorning I bet will still get theirs even after the while #Schofield situation #NTAs.”
Another penned: “If #ThisMorning wins again, as I’m pretty sure they will, there’s gonna be anarchy tomorrow. And I can’t wait for it. #NTAs#NTA2023.”
While a third wrote: “If #ThisMorning win, then this whole thing is a fix #NTAs2023.”

In a letter shared on Monday, Holly Willoughby said: “Having been lucky enough to have this summer break to focus on the children, it’s now lovely to be back on the sofa and there was certainly joy in abundance with Alison Hammond today!
“This wonderful lady has been nominated in the best presenter category at tomorrow night’s NTAs and there is still time to vote for her. So, if you’ve ever been filled with joy by The Hammond…and let’s be honest, who hasn’t?!…then you know what to do!”
