This Morning viewers may just have spotted a new permanent presenting pair for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
Phillip, 61, previously quit the flagship daytime magazine show amid a reported feud with his co-host after his brother was convicted of child sex offences.
He later resigned from ITV after he admitted that he lied to ITV, management, his colleagues and even his own representatives about a consensual affair with a younger male colleague.

Since his departure a range of co-hosts such as Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle have sat alongside Holly Willoughby as bosses were determined for the show to carry on as normal.

However, on Monday’s edition (July 17) of the programme, Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary welcomed longtime CITV stars Sooty and Sweep onto the programme to celebrate their 75th birthday.
Fans went wild online as they called for the puppet pairing to be the “permanent replacements” for Holly and Phil.
One viewer noted: “Anyone else hoping that Sooty and Sweep are indeed, the permanent replacements for Phil and Holly?”
A second asked: “Are Sooty and Sweep the new permanent hosts? Let’s hope so.”

“I’d rather have Sooty and Sweep,” penned a third.
As a fourth exclaimed: “Sooty and Sweep on This Morning has made my week.”
Meanwhile, a fifth user added: “Watching Sooty and Sweep on This Morning has made me feel all happy, teary eyed and nostalgic. I used to watch that TV show with my daughter. I love everything that symbolises the innocence of childhood. I love those two.”
And it turns out that more viewers have previously called for the pair to replace the permanent roster of hosts on the show.

Back in April, one user on social media asked who their followers’ “favourite presenting pair” is, to which one user replied: “Where’s Sooty and Sweep?”
They added: “I’d love Sooty and Sweep to do This Morning!”
Another asked: “May I nominate Sooty and Sweep for the new This Morning presenting roles please?”
Whilst a third previously tweeted: “Sootie and Sweep on This Morning – life is complete!”
