This Morning fans are fuming after US entertainment reporter Sam Rubin claimed he fears we’ll soon be talking about Britney Spears in the “past tense”.
The showbiz correspondent appeared on the ITV daytime on Monday (August 21) to discuss the latest news from across the pond.
Pop star Britney was on the agenda following the marriage split from her model husband Sam Asghari.

The Toxic singer has addressed her break-up on Instagram alongside a video of her dancing wearing a black crop top and a luminous green knickers.
Speaking about Britney’s latest social media appearance, Sam said to hosts Rochelle Humes and Andi Peters: “Like many I worry about Britney Spears
“A lot of people I think worry about her too and Sam was a source of stability and with him out of the picture, I hate to say this but I fear some day we’re going to be talking about Britney in the past tense.”
Following Sam’s segment, viewers rushed to X, formerly known as Twitter, to slam his comments.
One fan penned: “Did this guy really just say he thinks we’re gonna be soon talking about Britney in the past tense on live tv? Keep those thoughts IN your mind, don’t blurt them out to millions. JFC. #thismorning.”
Another added: “Literally livid about his segment on Britney tbh! Can not believe they let this go out @thismorning.”
A third person posted: “Disgusting words said about Britney Spears on your show from Sam! An apology is needed asap! Gross #thismorning.”

Discussing her split, Britney penned on her Instagram grid: “As everyone knows, Sam and I are no longer together.
“6 years is a long time to be with someone so, I’m a little shocked but I’m not here to explain why because its honestly nobody’s business! But, I couldn’t take the pain anymore honestly!!!
“In some sort of telepathic way I have been receiving so many messages that melt my heart from friends and I thank you!!!
